Saint Joseph's University women's basketball head coach Cindy Griffin has announced the hiring of video coordinator Jamie O'Hare.

One of the top guards in Lafayette's history, O'Hare finished her career 11th all-time in scoring (1,209 points) and second in assists (412). Tied for 10th most games played in a Leopard uniform (116), O'Hare comes to Saint Joseph's after spending the past year working in the private sector. As a senior, she was named to the Second Team All-Patriot League after setting a new career-high in scoring (14.6 ppg) and leading the league in assists (4.9 apg) and steals (2.7 spg). Holding Lafayette's all-time record for three-pointers made (182), O'Hare headed to the Leopards after a stellar high school career at St. Peter's in which she was named New York Post All-Staten Island Player of the Year as a senior and led her team to three CHSAA Staten Island Championships.

"We are excited to have Jamie join our staff this year as our Video GA," said Griffin. "Jamie played point guard at Lafayette and has a high basketball IQ and work ethic. Her passion for coaching is evident in this career change, as she has been working for a recruiting agency this past year. Her experience there, along with her playing career, is a perfect fit for our staff."

O'Hare, who earned a degree in economics from Lafayette, is working towards a master's degree in education at Saint Joseph's.

Saint Joseph's returns three starters and 11 letterwinners overall from last year's team that finished third in the Atlantic 10 and competed in the Postseason WNIT.
