FLORENCE, Italy - Sparked by 10 points from Candace Belvedere, the Saint Joseph's women's basketball team earned a 61-55 win over FSG Academy in the Hawks' second international matchup.

Down by 12 points at the half, Belvedere scored six of her 10 points in the third quarter to help the Hawks cut their deficit to just 41-35 entering the final 10 minutes of play.

In the final quarter, Saint Joseph's outscored FSG Academy, 26-14, to earn the win. Chipping away, the Hawks' Chelsea Woods and Amanda Fioravanti combined for 17 of the team's first 21 points.

A free throw by Woods gave SJU its first lead of the game midway through the quarter, but FSG Academy answered to regain the lead. From there though, the Hawks executed at the offensive end and got key stops on defense to pull ahead.

Alyssa Monaghan closed out the victory with five-straight points from the foul line for Saint Joseph's.

For the game, Fioravanti led the Hawks with 17 points, while Belvedere scored 10 points. Woods, Sarah Veilleux and Lula Roig each chipped in with six points apiece, while Monaghan finished with five points. Rookie Mary Sheehan scored two points along with, Michala Clay and Adashia Franklyn.
