NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A nationally-televised game in mid-January highlights the Saint Joseph's women's basketball squad's 2020 Atlantic 10 schedule, conference officials announced on Thursday afternoon. The Hawks' home game against Duquesne will be aired on CBS Sports Network.
Additional regional and local television coverage will be announced at a later date. All games not picked up on linear television will be streamed through the Atlantic 10’s partnership with ESPN+, the first-ever multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from The Walt Disney Company Direct-to-Consumer and International group and ESPN.
SJU will face every A-10 opponent once, and UMass, Duquesne, and La Salle twice.
Saint Joseph's will open the A-10 slate at home against Richmond on Saturday, January 4 before hitting the road for a pair of match-ups at VCU (Jan. 8) and UMass (Jan. 11).
The Hawks will then return home to host Rhode Island (Jan. 15) and Duquesne (Jan. 18); the nationally-televised game against the Dukes will begin at noon that Saturday.
The Crimson and Gray will then head to St. Bonaventure (Jan. 22) and La Salle (Jan. 26) before closing out the month of January with its eighth conference game, against George Washington (Jan. 29).
Saint Joseph's will open the month of February by hosting Dayton (Feb. 2) and will not return home again until February 15, taking on Saint Louis (Feb. 6) and Duquesne (Feb. 9) on the road before receiving a bye game for February 12.
That February 15 game will bring La Salle to Hagan Arena, and following a trip to Davidson (Feb. 19), the Hawks will close out the regular-season home schedule against George Mason (Feb. 22) and UMass (Feb. 26).
The Hawks' 2019-20 regular-season finale will be played at Fordham (Feb. 29).
The 2020 Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship will be played March 6-8 at the University of Dayton's UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio, with the first round hosted on campus sites on March 3.
The Hawks open the season at Columbia on Thursday, November 7.
Game times will be announced at a later date.
