Bio

Joining the Saint Joseph's Athletics Department as Associate Athletics Director for Business Operations and Facilities in the summer of 2019 is Amanda Hall.

Hall joins the Saint Joseph’s Athletics Department after spending the past eight years in various roles at the University of Notre Dame. In her new role with the Hawks, she will oversee facilities and game operations, and all financial and business operations for the athletics department.

Hall began her career with the Fighting Irish in Academic Services for Student-Athletes, where she served as an academic counselor for numerous sports. Leaving academic services for a newly created role in the athletics compliance office, Hall served as associate director of athletics compliance, responsible for implementing the recently adopted NCAA time management legislation. During her time in compliance, she worked closely with each of the Notre Dame’s 26 varsity sports, and various athletics offices, to identify and navigate challenges associated with the new legislation. As part of that role, she led the transition of more than 1,000 users to a department-wide scheduling and communication software to improve transparency and efficiency, and streamline collaboration. She also served as interim sport administrator for women’s rowing, where she supported student-athlete and coach development, assisted in budget review and reduction, and helped forecast and advocate for future program needs.

Prior to Notre Dame, Hall worked at Henderson International School in Las Vegas, Nevada. Beginning as a physical education, health and anatomy teacher, she was appointed sports information director in 2008 and promoted to director of athletics in 2010. Among Hall’s administrative duties were the recruitment and development of coaches, budget forecasting and oversight, scheduling and event management, and monitoring all facility use and maintenance. Included in her purview was the Findlay Prep Basketball program, National High School Championship tournament winners in 2009, 2010 and 2012. She coached several varsity, middle school, and elementary teams in her time at Henderson, most notably assisting with the 2010 1A Nevada State Softball Championship team.

Starting her coaching career as an assistant women’s basketball coach with Saint Mary’s College (Notre Dame, Ind.), Hall moved on to Harmony High School in Florida to establish a varsity basketball program at the newly-created high school. She earned a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University, where she was a member of both the Tigers’ cross country and basketball programs, and a master’s degree in sport management from Indiana State. She is also an active advocate for diversity and inclusion, participating in the National SEED project and various other equality-focused development and service opportunities.
