Amanda Casale was named Saint Joseph’s director of men’s basketball operations by head coach Billy Lange in June.

Casale joins the Hawks’ men’s basketball program after spending the past three years as a basketball operations assistant with the Philadelphia 76ers. During her tenure with Basketball Operations, she helped run the 76ers Family Support Group for player and staff families, and coordinated tickets and credentials for players, front office, staff and agents as part of the organization’s Family Will Call.

Additionally, Casale was an integral part of the 76ers’ front office as she was responsible for special projects that included player personnel research, coaches’ game sheets, mock draft tracking and draft workout logistics. She also assisted with scheduling and arranging credentials for scouts and worked as an intermediary for both agents and shoe companies.

“Amanda and I have worked together with the Philadelphia 76ers for the past three years. I was always impressed by her ability to handle multiple areas of the organization. She will be an incredible resource for our alumni, season ticket holders, former players and parents of our current players as she is a great, selfless, people person. We're excited to have her dynamic vision and her energy join us here on Hawk Hill,” said Lange.

Prior to joining the Sixers, Casale served as a student manager with the Syracuse men’s basketball team. Working with the Orange for four years, she was promoted to head manager her senior year as Syracuse advanced to the 2016 Final Four. Along with supervising 19 managers, she also an integral part of the Orange’s day-to-day operations, helping keep statistics, serving as liaison between coaches and student-athletes on the road and coordinating events that included Orange Madness, the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation Gala, and the Make A Wish Foundation Orange Women’s Fan Luncheon.

A native of Northfield, New Jersey, Casale graduated from Syracuse in 2016 with degrees in selected studies in education and policy studies, with minors in coaching and psychology.
