ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team is seeded ninth for the 2019 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship, set to begin on Thursday. The Hawks will meet eighth-seeded Duquesne at 9:00 a.m. at the USTA National Campus.
The winner will meet top-seeded VCU in the quarterfinals on Friday morning.
The Hawks and Dukes previously met on April 12 and 13 at the SJU Tennis Complex; SJU held a 3-2 lead in the match, which had to be suspended overnight due to rain, but Duquesne rallied to claim the final singles match and the doubles point for a 4-3 win.
Should the Hawks advance, their semifinal match would be played at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, with the championship match set for a 10:00 a.m. start on Sunday.
Video streaming and free live scoring will be available for the entire Championship. The first three rounds will be streamed via the USTA's Playsight system that allows viewers to choose which court they wish to watch. The final will feature wraparound coverage on ESPN+.
Admission to the Championship at the USTA National Campus is free for all spectators.
