NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Saint Joseph's senior Ross Pilliod has been named Atlantic 10 Golf Performer of the Week after capturing medalist honors at the Columbia Invitational and leading the Hawks to the team title this past Saturday.

Competing in one of his final events as a Hawk, Pilliod was stellar as he opened with a score of 68 (-2) to hold a one-stroke lead following the first round. With stronger winds gusts in the second round, Pilliod proved to be the most consistent performer on the course as he mirrored his first round with another round of 68 (-2) for a score of 136 (-4) to earn medalist honors by five strokes over the next closest player.

Along with earning the individual title, Pilliod also helped Saint Joseph's finish atop the 11-team field at the par-70 Montclair Golf Club (6,585 yards). As a team, the Hawks carded identical scores of 285 for a total of 570 to capture the team championship and finish 12 strokes ahead of Saint Peter's in second place.

Pilliod and the Hawks return to action at the Navy Spring Invitational April 19-20.
