SAINT JOSEPH'S (12-19 overall, 5-4 Atlantic 10)

• The Hawks returned to action on Tuesday night after a week off, falling at Delaware, 6-5.  The Blue Hens held early 1-0 and 3-2 leads before a Liam Bendo sacrifice fly tied the game in the seventh.  UD scored three in the bottom half, but a two-run triple by Jake Artz brought the Hawks back within a run.  Unfortunately for the Crimson and Gray, the tying run was thrown out at home with two down in the ninth to end the game.

Brendan Hueth (.312), Dominic Cuoci (.310), and Nate Thomas (.309) are bunched together at the top of the ledger for the Hawks, with Hueth and Thomas the lone Hawks to appear in all 31 games this season.  Andrew Cossetti is the Hawks' leader in home runs with seven; Cuoci, Thomas, and Kadar Namey are all tied for second with three apiece.  Cossetti's 29 runs batted in are also a team high, while Cuoci has recorded 26 and James McConnon has added 22.

Jordan DiValerio has been strong of late at the front of the Hawk rotation, pitching at least six innings in each of his last four starts.  He has allowed three runs or fewer in four of his last five starts as well while boasting a 21-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio in Atlantic 10 play.

Ryan Devine leads the pitching staff with 15 appearances and four saves, while Jose Martinez, Hayden Seig, and Cole Stetzar have all appeared in 13 games for SJU.

LA SALLE (19-18 overall, 1-8 Atlantic 10)

• The Explorers have won four out of five, including Tuesday's 7-6 home win over Penn.  La Salle topped Maryland Eastern Shore last Wednesday before taking two of three from Quinnipiac during its bye weekend from conference play.

• La Salle's offense is paced by Peyton Sorrels, whose .369 average, .539 slugging percentage, and 35 runs scored are team highs.  Ben Faso leads the way with seven home runs, while his 41 RBI are second in the Atlantic 10; he and Tommy Toal are the only Explorers to play in every game this season.

• Connor Hinchcliffe has appeared in 19 games on the mound, all in relief, and has posted a 1.46 earned run average to go with his league-leading 10 saves.  Colin Scanlon is 3-2 in 13 appearances, while Mike Jenkins sports a 4-0 record in six starts.
