It's a busy week on the diamond for the Saint Joseph's softball team as the Hawks host Penn on Wednesday before traveling to Fordham for a three-game series this Friday and Saturday. All four games will be streamed as part of the Atlantic 10's ESPN+ subscription package, with live stats available for each game free of charge.

SAINT JOSEPH'S (20-16, 9-3 Atlantic 10)
• The Hawks cap a four-game homestand this Wednesday as they host rival Penn at 4 p.m. at the SJU Softball Field. Over the weekend, Saint Joseph's took two of three games from George Mason to improve to 9-3 in conference play. After falling 3-0 in the series opener, the Hawks bounced back with a 5-3 win on Saturday in game two and followed with a 4-0 victory in Sunday's finale.
• At the plate, junior Sarah Ostaszewski leads SJU with a .381 batting average and 31 runs scored, while classmate Caela Abadie has driven in a team-best 31 runs and collected five home runs while hitting .333. Senior Amanda Kulp and sophomore Kirstin Cox are tied for the team lead in stolen bases (11) and have combined for 45 runs scored and 17 runs batted in.
• In the circle, Ashley Ventura enters the week with an 11-11 record in 24 appearances and tops the Hawks in ERA (2.83), strikeouts (63), innings pitched (128.1) and complete games (12). Rookie Amanda Herr picked up the win Saturday against George Mason to move to 7-1 on the season and drop her ERA to 3.17, while sophomore Chelsea Evans has appeared in seven contests and compiled a 2-3 record.
