NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – After dazzling in the 5000m at the Bucknell Bison Classic on Saturday evening, Saint Joseph's junior distance standout Zach Michon has been selected the Atlantic 10 Men's Track Performer of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon. After earning the honor twice during this past indoor season, Michon takes home the first outdoor weekly accolade of his career.

Michon ran a collegiate-best 5000m time of 14:10.53 at Bucknell's Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium, which was good for third overall and second among all attached runners in the field of 76.

The IC4A-qualifying time sits second in the Atlantic 10 and launches Michon into fifth on SJU's All-Time Top-Ten Outdoor Performers List.

Michon and the Hawks are back in action at both the Princeton Larry Ellis Invitational and Widener Invitational this Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20; Michon will run the 1500m at Princeton.
