WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Saint Joseph's golf team jumped ahead three spots into 10th place at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate after Monday's second round.
Entering the day tied for 13th place in the 21-team field, the Hawks carded score of 292 in the second round at the par-71 Golden Horseshoe Golf Club (6,817 yards) and own score of 309-292/601 after the two rounds.
Junior Michael O'Brien posted a two-under-par 69 on Tuesday and moved into a tie for 17th place with a score of 77-69/146, while senior Ross Pilliod is two strokes behind in a tie for 26th at 74-74/148. Wills Montgomery and Tommy Lewis are both tied for 64th with rounds of 82-73/155 and 79-76/155, respectively, while rookie J.T. Spina is tied for 87th with a two-round score of 79-82/161
Loyola-Maryland holds the team lead by three strokes at 573, while Campbell's Max Theodorakis stands atop the individual leaderboard at 138.
The third and final round begins Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
