NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Saint Joseph's senior distance runner Jack Daly has been voted onto the Atlantic 10 Men's Indoor Track and Field Academic All-Conference Team, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon. To be nominated, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) for their entire academic career. The teams were selected through voting conducted by the league's Sports Information Directors.

Daly had a shining moment at the 2019 A-10 Indoor Track and Field Championships, where he got the call to run the lead-off leg of the Distance Medley Relay on Saturday morning, February 23. At 6:20 p.m. of that same night, Daly ran a 3:05.6 first leg to lead the DMR to the gold medal.

The senior also placed 17th in the open mile at A-10s and followed up with a 24th-place showing in the open mile in his IC4A debut. A finance major out of Media, Pa., Daly ran indoor PRs in the 1000m (2:29.23) for eighth at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet, mile (4:13.69) for fifth at the Villanova Invitational, and 3000m (8:42.18) for third at the Wagner College Invitational this winter.

Daly and the Hawks open the 2019 outdoor track and field season next Saturday, March 30 at the Rider 5-Way Meet in Lawrenceville, N.J.
