Saint Joseph's senior Kristalyn Baisden matched her career-high with 23 points as she helped lead the Hawks' to a 66-54 comeback victory over Davidson, 66-54, on Wednesday evening at Hagan Arena.

Down by 14 points early in the third quarter, the Hawks closed out the game outscoring the Wildcats 27-6 in the fourth quarter to improve to 7-15 on the season and 3-6 in Atlantic 10 play.

Entering the final period down 48-39, Saint Joseph's came out with momentum as it put together a 15-3 run to open a 55-51 lead on a three-point play by Baisden with 3:45 to go in the game.

The Wildcats (13-9, 7-2 A-10) followed with a three-point play of their own as Justine Lyon cut the Hawks' lead to 55-54.

Saint Joseph's remained poised and answered back as Baisden found sophomore Mary Sheehan open for a three-pointer to push the score to 58-54.

The Hawks' defense took over from there as it held Davidson scoreless over the final 3:16, including holding the Wildcats to 0-11 from the floor, as they scored the final nine points of the game to pull away for the win.

For the game, SJU shot 39.7 percent from the field (23-58) - including 9-12 from the floor and 4-4 from behind the arc in the fourth quarter - while going 9-24 from three-point range (37.5 percent) and 11-14 from the foul line (78.6 percent).

Baisden, who matched her previous high of 23 points that she set at Dayton in January, went 9-15 from the floor, 4-8 from behind the arc and 1-2 from the foul line, while handing out a team-best four assists. Senior Alyssa Monaghan added 18 points and four rebounds, while redshirt freshman Katie Jekot finished with 11 points and five rebounds.

At the other end, Sarah Donovan led Davidson with 18 points and nine rebounds as the Wildcats shot just 23-65 from the floor (36.5 percent) and went 6-24 from three-point range and 2-4 from the foul line.

The Hawks travel to George Washington on Sunday for a rematch of the 2018 A-10 Championship title game with the Colonials. Tip is set for noon at the Smith Center.
