Charlie Brown scored 20 points and sophomore Lorenzo Edwards scored a career-high 14 as Saint Joseph’s held off UMass, 64-62, at to snap a two-game losing streak
 Charlie Brown is the leading scorer in the Atlantic 10, averaging 20.0 points per game, and has notched 20-plus points in three of the last four games
• For the first time since the start of the season, Saint Joseph’s dropped from second to fifth in the nation in turnovers per game (9.7) and has fallen to fifth in total turnovers (213). The Hawks led the nation at the start of the year and then had been holding onto the second spot for most of the season, behind Virginia, until last week
• The Hawks are seeking their second road win of the year and are looking to win two games in a row for the first time since December

AT THE LINE
• SJU’s 22-for-26 effort at the foul line vs. UMass was the most free throws made since the Hawks hit a season-high 36 in the win over UIC on Nov. 29
• More importantly, they hit 8-of-10 in the final five minutes • Lorenzo Edwards made a pair of free throws with :04 left to secure the win

Lorenzo Edwards made the first start of his career in place of Taylor Funk at Dayton, which ended Funk’s streak of 42 consecutive games started
Markell Lodge has started four in a row for Anthony Longpré (concussion protocol), whose return is still undetermined
• Because of the injuries to Longpré, Lamarr Kimble and Pierfrancesco Oliva, the Hawks now have seven full scholarship players available to play
