Saint Joseph's senior defender Paige Bergman has been named to the United Soccer Coaches Women's Soccer All-East Region Third Team, organization officials announced on Monday night.

One of the top defenders to wear a Saint Joseph's jersey, Bergman shined at both ends of the field in her final year as she helped SJU post a 14-5-2 record and advance to the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship. An A-10 All-Conference First Team selection, Bergman finished tied A-10 lead in assists with eight and tied for fourth on the team in points (10), while on defense she helped anchor the Hawks' backline that ranked third in the conference in goals-against-average (0.79) and tied for second in shutouts (eight).

Matching the program record for starts and appearances in a career (83), Bergman will graduate this May as the program's all-time leader in assists (25), along with ranking among the single-season leaders in assists three times. A two-time A-10 All-Conference selection, Bergman is the 11th Hawk, and first defender, to earn All-Region honors.
