Lewis And O'Brien Tie For First At City 6 Championship

Saint Joseph's juniors Tommy Lewis and Michael O'Brien tied for first place and the Hawks' golf team tied for second place at this weekend's City 6 Championship.

Playing at the par-71 Galloway National Golf Club (6,804 yards), Lewis and O'Brien each carded scores of 76 to finish in a four-way tie along with Temple's John Barone and Same Soeth.

As a team, the Hawks posted a score of 318 to tie for second alongside Drexel.

Rookie J.T. Spina tied for 11th with a score of 81, while Ross Pilliod and Richard Riva both carded scores of 85 to tie for 22nd. Chuck Briggs rounded out the SJU team tying for 28th with a score of 91.

Temple captured the team title by six strokes at 312.

This weekend's event capped the Fall portion of the Hawks' schedule.
