This offseason, the Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse program will individually introduce its 12 newest Hawks. With the departure of 10 letterwinners, including five starters, from last year’s team, this incoming group comprised of four attackers, six midfielders, one combo midfielder/attacker, and a goalkeeper will add to a Hawks squad that is coming off of a 12-win season, which was capped by a run at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament, and will play under the direction of fifth-year head coach, Alex Kahoe.

As a 2018 All-Southeastern Pennsylvania Team honoree, three-time All-Delaware County selection and two-time All-Central pick, Delaney scored 154 career goals at Garnet Valley. The four-year varsity letterwinner led the team in scoring as a senior (51) en route to a 22-3 record and as a junior (62) en route to a 19-7 record. Both of those teams advanced to the PIAA state semifinals where she added 38 goals as a sophomore as her team reached state quarterfinals. The three-year varsity starter was also a member of the state championship team as a freshman. While being the senior captain, she played in the National Tournament with Team Philly, the Under Armour 150, the premier girls’ lacrosse recruiting combine, as well as Ultimate Elite. The Garnet Valley dual-sport athlete also earned three letters in soccer where she was an All-Central and All-Delaware County honoree.
Explain who or what most influenced you to attend SJU:
“The strong sense of community at SJU was exactly the college environment that I wanted. I saw this first-hand in the coaches and lacrosse team, and I wanted to be a part of it.”
