A pair of nationally televised games highlight Saint Joseph's women's basketball's 2018-19 Atlantic 10 schedule, conference officials announced on Tuesday. The Hawks' home matchup with La Salle on January 20 will air on CBS Sports Network, with SJU's road contest at Dayton on January 27 to be televised on ESPNU.
Opening conference play with the first of two meetings versus VCU, Saint Joseph's travels to the Siegel Center on January 5, then returns home to host Saint Louis (Jan. 9) and St. Bonaventure (Jan. 13).
Following a road trip to Duquesne (Jan. 16), the Hawks and La Salle cap Big 5 play at Hagan Arena on January 20 with the game airing on CBS Sports Network. Saint Joseph's wraps up the first month of conference play with a contest at Richmond (Jan. 23) and a noon start at Dayton (Jan. 27) on ESPNU.
The Hawks begin February with three of their first four games at home starting February 3 against VCU. After a home contests versus Davidson (Feb. 6), it's a rematch of the 2018 A-10 title game against George Washington on February 10 at the Smith Center for SJU, and then back home to host Massachusetts on February 13.
Saint Joseph's then wraps up its home-and-home series with a road contest at La Salle (Feb. 17) and home game against Duquesne (Feb. 20). The Hawks cap the regular season with road games at Rhode Island (Feb. 24) and George Mason (Feb. 27) before hosting Fordham on March 2.
The 2019 Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Championship will be held at Duquesne's A.J. Palumbo Center March 8-10, with seeds 3-8 hosting first round matchups on March 5. The top two seeds will receive a bye to the quarterfinals.
The Hawks open the season at home versus Temple on November 9.
