For the third straight week, the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team has earned regional recognition as the Hawks are ranked eighth place in this week's United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll, organization officials announced on Tuesday.
In its lone match last week, Saint Joseph's dropped its first contest of the year as the Hawks fell at No. 20 Princeton, 3-0, on Friday.
The Hawks, who are 3-1-0 on the season, are one of four Atlantic 10 teams to earn regional recognition this week as they join La Salle (fourth), George Washington (seventh) and Dayton (ninth).
Saint Joseph's begins a five-game homestand starting this Thursday at 7 p.m. versus the sixth-ranked team in the United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll, Drexel.
