DANBURY, Conn. - Saint Joseph's sophomore Molly Kapala has been selected to the All-ECAC Second Team, organization officials announced on Thursday.

The first Saint Joseph's shortstop to garner A-10 All-Conference accolades, Kapala posted a stellar season in leading the team in batting average (.350), hits (56), runs (33) and doubles (12). Ranking among the top defensive players in the A-10, she finished third in defensive assists (119) and tied for fifth in double plays turned (nine). The First Team All-A-10's performances shined brightest during conference play as she led the league in hits (32) and finished seventh in batting average (.416).

Kapala is the 10th Hawk to garner All-ECAC honors and the first since Dana Parks in 2013.

The Hawks capped the season winning nine of their last 12 games to finish at 24-25 and 11-12 in conference play.
