The Saint Joseph’s men’s rowing team has earned its second consecutive bid to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship, to be held from June 1-3 on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.

The Hawks will send a First Varsity 8, a Second Varsity 8, and a Third Varsity 8 to the championship, as they did last season to the regatta held on Lake Natoma in California.

SJU garnered three medals in last weekend’s Dad Vail Regatta, with silver medals in the first and second eights and a bronze in the Third Varsity 8.

"We are thrilled to once again receive an at-large invitation to compete on the national stage at the IRA National Championships. It was great to hear our name called out during the selection show and to be recognized for our team speed. The squad is eager to get back to work and build upon our experience from the trip to Lake Natoma last June," said head coach Mike Irwin.
