The Saint Joseph's men's rowing Varsity 8 remained undefeated in the Spring racing season when it scored a victory at Holy Cross on Lake Quisigamond. The Third Varsity 8 also won its race.

The Hawks' top boat defeated Bates, Holy Cross, Williams and Tufts in the Varsity 8, clocking a 6:20.12. The crew was comprised of:
c- Jenn Reynolds; 8- Jack Darling; 7- Riley McGwin; 6- Garren Best; 5- Kjel Schlemmer; 4- Thomson Rymer; 3- Claudio Recchilungo; 2- Justin Hawkins; 1- Dave Gee

SJU's Third Varsity 8 also notched a win by outdistancing Holy Cross, two crews from Tufts and Williams with a lineup of:
c- Courtney McDonnell; 8- Jason Peacock; 7- Jansen Kachel; 6- Patrick Ganter; 5- Gavin O'Connor; 4- Mike Thompson; 3- Collin Petersen; 2- John Thompson; 1- Mike Fedele

The Hawks also earned a second-place finish in the Second Varsity 8, behind Holy Cross. SJU's lineup was: c- Fiona Conway; 8- Mike Geoghegan; 7- Joe Sullivan; 6- Collin Seabrook; 5- James Hammerstedt; 4- Justin Aikens; 3- Andrew O'Connor; 2- Josh Bostrom; 1- Rob McCullough


This was Saint Joseph's final tuneup for the 80th Dad Vail Regatta, which will take place on May 11-12.
