PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's men's soccer head coach Don D'Ambra has announced the dates for SJU's 2018 men's soccer camps. There will be two residential/commuter on-campus camps and 10 youth day/evening off-campus camps from June through August.

For a breakdown of all available camps and clinics, please see below. For additional information, including cost of each camp, visit the Saint Joseph's Men's Soccer Camps homepage or view the attached flyer.

Residential/Commuter Camps
The High School ID Camp will be held from July 9-10 and is open to male athletes ages 14-19. Teams are welcomed and discounts are available. This camp is for the serious soccer players who aspire to become student athletes in college. Instruction will be provided primarily by Saint Joseph's University staff coaches and local college coaches. Every session will provide players an opportunity to improve their technical ability and tactical knowledge of the game. SJU's professional coaches will instruct campers within a challenging environment that promotes playing in both small-sided and full-sided game scenarios. Evening games (often under the lights) will give the players the chance to put their skills to the test and showcase their individual and collective ability.

The Youth Advanced Camp will be held from July 16-19 and is open to male and female players ages 9-14. Instruction will be provided by SJU staff coaches, college coaches and active/former professional players. This session is designed for the youth player that is eager to get better and learn what it takes to compete at the next level. The curriculum will feature the principles of attacking and defending, combination play, pressure-cover-balance, flank play, counter attacking, zonal defending, finishing and match play analysis.

Youth Day/Evening Camps
The Hawks will offer 10 youth camps – seven day and three evening – all of which will be hosted at selected sites off of the SJU campus. These camps are for all players ages 4-14. Instruction provided by SJU staff coaches, former/current professional players and other college coaches will emphasize the importance of technique through individual skills and small sided play. Campers will learn the proper fundamentals in a structured training environment. The camp curriculum will progress from repetition drills with no pressure to more difficult game situations with defensive pressure. We want the campers to have fun, however, the main focus is teaching the individual skills and techniques needed to become better soccer players.

All campers will receive an SJU camp t-shirt, camp ball and draw string bag.
