Beth Riley returns for her third full season as a member of the Saint Joseph's field hockey coaching staff in 2019.

Riley has helped guide goalkeeper Victoria Kammerinke to consecutive NFHCA All-America honors – a Third Team selection in 2017 and a Second Team honor in 2018 – as well as the last two Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year awards as the Hawks have won the last two Atlantic 10 titles and earned the first two NCAA Tournament berths in program history.

A former student-athlete with the University of Michigan field hockey program, Riley went on to assistant coaching stops at Temple and Indiana before spending three seasons as the head coach at Bryn Mawr College.

“Beth offers a really great balance and level of experience to our Hawk hockey program,” Saint Joseph's head coach Lynn Farquhar said. “Her insight has been crafted through many years of experience.  With an outstanding playing career as a student-athlete at Michigan, competing in three NCAA Tournaments with a Final Four appearance, and the USA Field Hockey National Team programs, Beth is accustomed to a high level of hockey.  Her well-diversified coaching experience includes the collegiate level, club programs, USA High Performance, and the Futures program.  We are thrilled to have such a great talent on our staff!"

A native of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, Riley was inducted into the Palmyra High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.  She graduated from Michigan in 2007 and is currently an Assistant Director of Admissions at Neumann College.
