PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's soccer squad (3-10-4, 1-5-1 A-10) will close the 2017 season on the road at Saint Louis (6-8-1, 3-4-0 A-10) this Wednesday, November 1. Kickoff is slated for 8:00 p.m. Eastern time at Hermann Stadium in St. Louis, Mo. The Hawks will look to snap a four-match losing streak while the Billikens, who are just 1-7-1 at home this fall, have won two in a row.

Wednesday’s match will mark the ninth all-time meeting between Saint Joseph’s and Saint Louis and the first since November 3, 2013. The Billikens own an 8-0-0 all-time series advantage.

Wednesday's match will also mark the final collegiate contests for SJU's eight seniors - forward Isaac Agyapong, midfielder Matt Crawford, midfielder Nick Hartwell, defender Kevin Lockhart, goalkeeper Trevor Nicol, goalkeeper Greg O'Connell, defender Tom Santilli, and defender Ben Zambetti.

Crawford has scored six of SJU's 16 goals this season, but freshman midfielder Ritchie Barry has scored SJU's lone pair of goals in the last four contests. O'Connell (3-10-3, 1-5-1 A-10) owns a 1.72 goals against average and .752 save percentage in 1409:03. Junior defender Eddie McCusker (1,619 minutes) leads SJU in minutes played, playing every second of the season on the back line.

Saint Louis dropped its first three matches of the season to Syracuse (2-1 OT), Michigan State (2-0), and Wake Forest (4-1) before picking up a 1-0 win over Marquette. The Billikens then drew with Akron (0-0) and defeated Stanford (2-0) before dropped three of their next four with losses to Denver (3-1) and UMass (3-1), a win over Duquesne (3-0), and a loss to VCU (4-0). Saint Louis then fell to Davidson, 1-0, in overtime before winning their most recent pair of matches, at Tulsa (2-1 OT) and Fordham (2-1).

Lennart Hein (5g) and Leo Novaes (2g, 4a) lead the Billikens in scoring while Sascha Otte (5-8-1) sports a 1.75 goals against average and .667 save percentage with four shutouts in 1334:53.

Saint Louis is currently tied with St. Bonaventure for the eighth and final spot for the A-10 postseason tournament.
