In conjunction with the start of the new academic year, all current Saint Joseph's student-athletes and coaches participated in a Title IX Education and Training session with Janet Judge, Esq.

A nationally-recognized expert, Judge's interactive presentations focused primarily on the role of Title IX offices on campuses and the procedures they follow. In addition, she addressed a broad range of topics, including sexual assault, alcohol, hazing and educating student-athletes on the risks associated with the irresponsible use of social networking.

In addition to the Title IX program, student-athletes participated in several other sessions, Notably, each team held its annual NCAA compliance meeting; the University hosted its annual career fair; members of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee heard presentations on the SJU's counseling and psychological services, as well as Team Impact; and freshmen took part in a number of seminars hosted by SJU's Office of Educational Support Services.
