This offseason, the Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse program will individually introduce its 19 newest Hawks, which includes 17 true freshmen, a sophomore transfer, and a graduate student addition to the 2018 spring roster. With the departure of 18 letterwinners, including five starters, from last year’s team, this incoming group comprised of three attackmen, 11 midfielders, four defensemen, and a goalkeeper will add to a Hawks squad that has reached the Northeast Conference postseason in three of their last four seasons under the direction of seventh-year head coach Taylor Wray.

#19 Tyler Green M 5-11 165 Bridgewater, Mass. Thayer Academy • Business
A native of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, Green played his junior and senior seasons at Thayer Academy, where he was a two-time All-League Honorable Mention and competed at the 2017 Under Armour All-Star Game and Denver Shootout (MVP). The midfielder led Thayer Academy to 21 wins over two season and was tabbed the squad’s captain and MVP as a senior. Green played his sophomore varsity season at the Holderness School and his freshman varsity season at the Hillside School, where he captained the squad to a 12-4 record and earned the team’s MVP Award and Coaches Award. A two-sport athlete, Green also lettered in ice hockey.

Explain who or what most influenced you to attend SJU:
“The coaching staff was the best set of coaches that I sat down and talked with. They were very genuine and seemed like really good people. I also loved the campus and what SJU had to offer on the academic side.”
