This offseason, the Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse program will individually introduce its 13 newest Hawks. With the departure of nine letterwinners, including a trio of starters, from last year’s team, this incoming group comprised of six attackers, four midfielders, two defenders, and a goalkeeper will add to a Hawks squad that is coming off of a program-record, 11-win season, which was capped by a run at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament, and will play under the direction of fourth-year head coach Alex Kahoe.

#36 Cammi Luidens • A 5-8 West Chester, Pa. West Chester East • Natural Science
The 2017 West Chester East Offensive Player of the Year, Luidens was a three-time All-Ches-Mont selection, which included Second Team honors as a senior, over her four years at West Chester East High School. The West Chester, Pennsylvania native led her squad to 28 wins and was a 2014 Philly Showcase Fab Forty All-Star champion and Brine National Showcase champion. Luidens played club lacrosse for P.A. Express. A three-sport athlete at West Chester East, Luidens also lettered in both field hockey and cross country, and was named the Most Valuable Newcomer as a cross country sophomore. Lacrosse runs in the family as Luiden’s sister, Cassidy, played at Villanova.

Explain who or what most influenced you to attend SJU:
“The women's lacrosse coaches at SJU (Alex Kahoe, Colleen Dawson, and Becky Lynch), as well as the players, are extremely welcoming, encouraging, and talented. Also, the campus is beautiful and my unofficial and official visits, as well as orientation, really showed me everything that SJU has to offer.”
