Egan, Lane Set for 2017 FIL Women's Lacrosse World Cup

PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse recent graduate midfielder Maggie Egan ('17) and rising junior midfielder Rebecca Lane are set to compete at the 2017 FIL Rathbones Women's World Cup, to be held at Surrey Sports Park at the University of Surrey in Guilford, Surrey, England from July 12-22.

Egan will compete for the Ireland Lacrosse Women's National Team; her grandfather, Patrick, was born and raised in Carrick-on-Suir in Tipperary, Ireland, while her grandmother's parents were natives of County Kerry, Ireland. Lane, a native of Victoria, Australia and product of Maribyrnong College, will represent the Australian Lacrosse Women's National team.

Additionally, following the World Cup, Lane will travel to Wroclaw, Poland for the 2017 International World Games, from July 25-29.
