Saint Joseph's junior Caroline Strauss has been named to the Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing All-Academic Team.

The team was chosen by a vote of the league's rowing media relations directors to recognize student-athletes for their combined prowess in both the classroom and in the boat.

It marks the second academic honor for Strauss this season as she was previously selected to the Philadelphia Academic All-Area Women's Rowing Team.

Strauss, from Medway, Mass., rowed for the Hawks' Second Varsity 8 which placed fourth at the 2017 Dad Vail Regatta and took third at the Kelly Cup. She recently competed for SJU's Eight in the Henley Women's Regatta, as the Hawks made their first trip to England since 2010.

Strauss is a Leadership, Ethics, and Organizational Sustainability major in the Haub School of Business. She has received the team's Academic Award for highest GPA for the past two years, while also earning a spot on the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and the SJU Athletic Director's Honor Roll for multiple semesters.
