LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Saint Joseph's sophomore pitcher Ashley Ventura and sophomore outfielder Amanda Kulp have been selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Northeast Second Team and Third Team, respectively, organization officials announced on Thursday.

Proving to be one of the top pitchers in the A-10, Ventura posted a 15-13 overall record this season and ranked in the top-five of the conference in ERA (2.03), strikeouts (134), complete games (20) and saves (three). An A-10 All-Conference Second Team honoree and an A-10 All-Championship selection, she posted an 8-5 mark in conference play with a 1.85 ERA, and recorded the 11th no-hitter in program history at La Salle on April 27.

Garnering her second-straight NFCA All-Region honor, Kulp etched her name in the SJU record books this season as she set a new single-season record for stolen bases with 31. Selected to the A-10 All-Conference First Team, the two year starter in centerfield topped the Hawks in batting average (.357), hits (56), total bases (62), on-base percentage (.416) and posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Leading Saint Joseph's to a 14-8 mark in A-10 play, and 25-28 overall record, Kulp also became the 35th Hawk to reach the 100-hit mark for her career as she collected the milestone hit at George Mason on May 12.

The Hawk duo helped SJU finish third in the A-10 standings this season and advance to the semifinals of the conference postseason tournament.
