PRINCETON, N.J. – For the third consecutive meet, the group of freshman Caroline Duffy and seniors Angelena Minniti, Courtney Foster, and Dannah Hayward broke the program record in the 4x400m relay, this time en route to the bronze medal, to lead the Saint Joseph's women's track and field squad to a tie for 33rd place, with nine points, in a field of 50 teams at the ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend. Held at Princeton University's Weaver Stadium, all Hawks raced on Sunday, as inclement weather postponed Saturday's schedule.

Duffy, Minniti, Foster, and Hayward cruised through their heat in a program-recordbreaking time of 3:43.33 to place third in a field of 13 for six points. The group improved upon its previous school record (3:43.44), set at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships last weekend, which improved upon its previous school record (3:45.41), set at the Penn Relays two weekends ago.

With the third-place finish, the group becomes the first relay in program history to medal at the ECAC outdoor meet and just the second 4x400m relay to score at the ECAC outdoor meet, as Foster and Hayward become back-to-back All-East selections after running on the sixth-place 4x4 last spring. Additionally, the group becomes just the second SJU relay to medal between both the indoor and outdoor ECAC meets, as Minniti becomes the only Hawk in program history to earn two relay medals after running the second leg of the silver-medal DMR this past winter.

In addition to running the leadoff leg of the 4x400m relay, Duffy placed seventh in a field of 18 in the 200m, crossing in 24.73 for the top freshman time in the event. The rookie went for third in her heat as the performance earned two points for the Crimson and Gray.

Duffy becomes the first Hawk in program history to earn ECAC Outdoor Championships All-East honors in the 200m.

Saint Joseph's earned its additional point from its 4x100m relay group of freshman Aliyah Stokes, Duffy, sophomore Kelly Liebl, and sophomore Nathaniela Bourdeau. The group edged out Bucknell and Columbia in its heat with a time of 47.15, which was the eighth-fastest finish in the overall field of 19.

The group becomes the first 4x100m relay in program history to earn ECAC Outdoor Championships All-East honors in the event.

A familiar name runs across all three scoring performances, as Duffy becomes the first Hawk in program history to earn a trio of All-East honors at an ECAC indoor or outdoor meet.

And she did it in just one day.

Minniti, Foster, Hayward, Stokes, Liebl, and Bourdeau also earned All-East honors for placing in the top eight of their respective relay events.

In addition to racing on All-East relays, Bourdeau also raced the 100m (T-13th, 12.26) and 200m (14th, 24.99), while Hayward just missed scoring in the 400m hurdles by .17 seconds (10th, 1:01.31) and Foster checked in with a 17th-place finish in the 400m (56.52).

SJU's 4x800m relay of junior Cassidy Weimer, junior Caroline Keegan, freshman Emily Bracken, and senior Kiersten Moylan crossed in a season-best time of 9:07.50 to place ninth in a field of 17. The group missed scoring by just .44 seconds.

Junior Claudine Andre went for 1.68m to place 11th in the high jump while Weimer placed 17th in the 1500m (4:33.55) and junior Steph Toland checked in with a 33rd-place showing in the 400m hurdles (1:03.62).

Select Hawks return to action at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet at Swarthmore College's Walter T. Skallerup, Jr. Track at Clothier Field in Swarthmore, Pa. tomorrow, May 15.
