The Saint Joseph's field hockey program will welcome a strong class of new student-athletes for the 2017 season. Over the coming weeks, we'll introduce Hawk fans to the new additions, one by one. This week: Quinn Maguire.
Quinn Maguire, a forward from the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur, will join the Saint Joseph’s field hockey program in 2017. Maguire is a native of Media, Pennsylvania, and is a member of the WC Eagles club program.
Maguire is a four-time All-Conference First Team honoree as she helped lead Notre Dame to Inter-Ac and PAISSA titles in 2013 and 2016. She was also named to the All-Southeastern Pennsylvania squad twice and the All-Delaware County First Team three times, culminating in her selection as the Delaware County Daily Times Player of the Year in 2016.

“I am excited to become a part of the successful and growing field hockey program at Saint Joseph’s,” Maguire said.
Maguire played her club hockey with the highly successful WC Eagles program. She was a part of four National Indoor Tournament championship teams between 2013 and 2016 as well as claiming the 2015 National Club Championship title.
“I chose Saint Joseph’s because I could see myself fitting in perfectly with the balance of academics and athletics,” she said.
“A local standout from Notre Dame, Quinn has been around the Hawk family for the last couple years,” head coach Lynn Farquhar said. “Her speed, natural attacking ability, and strong character will have an immediate impact on our play. We’re happy to keep such a talent close to home!”
Maguire and the rest of the new Hawks will join the program in time for the 2017 season.
