The Saint Joseph's women's rowing team picked up three first-place finishes at the Frostbite Regatta on November 12 on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.

SJU's two Freshman Eights each took first place, while it was the second win in a row for the Freshman 8 "A" boat. The Hawks' Varsity 4 also earned a first-place finish.

Saint Joseph's entered three Varsity 8 boats in the regatta and each of them placed second in their flights.

The Hawks also had three Varsity 4 entries that took first, second and third place in their respective flights.

"Everyone had our best rows of the week.  We had a peculiar week of practice with the time change, the election, and Spring registration, so  our water time was limited as we switched over to a sprint racing format," said head coach Gerry Quinlan. "The team took it all in stride and really came ready to race on Saturday."
