One of the top post players in Saint Joseph's history... Averaged double figures in scoring all four years... Ranks 14th all-time with 1,554 points and 12th with 838 rebounds... Earned NABC All-District honors for three consecutive years... Named to the All-Big 5 First Team in 1980... Was a member of the Hawks' team which pulled the memorable upset over top-ranked DePaul in 1981 and was the runner-up in the 1981 NCAA Mideast Regionals... Inducted into both the SJU Basketball Hall of Fame and the Big 5 Hall of Fame in 1987... After graduation, established the Boo Williams Summer League, a youth basketball organization in his hometown of Hampton, Va. ... Has mentored over 2,500 student-athletes and built the Boo Williams Sportsplex... Was named the Walt Disney World Sports Volunteer of the Year in 2001... Received the Mannie Jackson Basketball's Human Spirit Award from the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in September 2012... His sister, Terri Williams-Flournoy, is the head women's basketball coach at Auburn, and his nephew, Troy Williams, plays basketball for Indiana... Williams and his wife, Saunya, reside in Hampton, Va.
