MERION STATION, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team won its seventh straight match on Sunday, topping Chestnut Hill, 7-0, at the SJU Tennis Complex.

Saint Joseph's opened play in impressive form, taking all three doubles matches with 8-2 decisions. Aurora Davis and Alex Zachem took the first flight, while Kristina Eisenbrand and Sarah Contrata were winners at the second flight. Seniors Devi Jadeja and Michele Vona picked up the win at third doubles in their second to last home match.

In singles play, the Hawks continued to impress with no one giving up more than two games in a set. Davis earned a 6-1, 6-1 win over Charlotte Dawson at the top flight, with Eisenbrand posting a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Iman Williams-Mulesa. Jadeja topped Marie Deleval, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 singles, while Kelly Mulquin blanked Kelly Dennis, 6-0, 6-0. Arianne Polatnick was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Moran Oechsle at the fifth flight, while Zachem closed out the sweep with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Axe Owens.

"A satisfying win by the ladies with one more regular season match to go against Lehigh if weather permits," said head coach Ian Crookenden. "Our ladies are in a comfort zone right now and I want them to stay there."

The Hawks will face the Mountain Hawks Tuesday at home at 3 p.m.
