MERION STATION, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team set a new single-season record for wins, posting its 14th on the year with a 7-0 win over Saint Peter's on Saturday.

The Hawks (14-7) entered the day tied for the all-time record of 13 wins set last year and quickly took control over the undermanned Saint Peter's team. Opening in doubles, SJU picked up an 8-2 win at the top flight behind Aurora Davis and Alex Zachem, while Kristina Eisenbrand  and Sarah Contrata posted an 8-3 win at the second flight. Devi Jadeja and Lauren Roy earned the win at the third flight with a default victory.

In singles, Davis and Eisenbrand posted 6-0, 6-0 wins at the top two flights, while Kelly Mulquin earned a 6-0, 6-2 win at the third flight. Roy posted a 6-4, 6-3 decision at No. 4 singles, with Zachem dropping just one set in a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the fifth flight. Contrata picked up a default win at the final position to earn the sweep for SJU.

The Hawks return to action Sunday when they host Chestnut Hill.
