CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Saint Joseph's junior Pierre Brondeau was named the ECAC Division I South Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday.  Brondeau previously earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors on Tuesday.

Brondeau went undefeated in the top two singles flights last week and picked up two No. 1 doubles wins with partner Jose Sierra, as the Hawks went 3-0. Against Drexel, the pair earned an 8-4 victory over Alex Fioravante and Xabier Saavedra before taking down Skyler Davis, 7-5, 7-5 at No. 2 singles. Facing conference foe Fordham, the Perpignan, France, native bounced back from a doubles loss for a 6-1, 7-6(8) win against No. 2 Alastair Barnes. In the final match of the week, Brondeau and Sierra handed Kevin Budrawich and Matt Dean of Sacred Heart an 8-2 loss in No. 1 doubles, before winning in straight sets over Brian Power, 7-6(4), 6-4 in the top flight.

After a 7-0 win over La Salle on Wednesday, the Hawks will next host Villanova on Friday in preparation for the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship, beginning April 17.
