WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - The Saint Joseph's university men's and women's track squads took to the outdoor oval for the first time this season on Saturday afternoon at Monmouth. Both teams sent a full complement of runners to the meet. There was no team scoring.
On the men's side, freshman Chris Caranante was the sole Hawk entrant in the 100m and 200m sprints. He turned in times of 13.03 and 26.90 in those two events. In the 800m, sophomore Brendan Kearney took fourth place with a time of 1:55.99. Classmate Stephen Young was right on his heels with a 1:56.63, taking fifth.
