FAIRFAX, Va. - The Saint Joseph's softball team wraps up its regular season schedule this weekend with a three-game series at George Mason set to begin on Saturday.

The Hawks and patriots open with a doubleheader starting at noon on Saturday and follow with a single game on Sunday.

Battling for a spot in next week's Atlantic 10 Championship, Saint Joseph's enters the weekend in third place at 12-7 and are coming off a win over George Washington in the final home A-10 game at the SJU Softball Field last Sunday.

Overall, the Hawks currently ranks second in the conference in team ERA (2.76) and a backed by A-10 Co-Pitcher of the Week Ashley Ventura. At the plate, Saint Joseph's .266 team batting average ranks fifth in the A-10, with sophomore Amanda Kulp's .388 average ranking third among the conference leaders.

George Mason enters the weekend tied for fourth in the conference standings with Dayton at 11-9 and are coming off a series sweep at Saint Louis in its last A-10 matchup. The Patriots, who are hosting next week's conference tournament, currently rank fifth in team ERA, backed by sophomore Marina Vitalich's conference-leading 1.74 ERA.
