PITTSBURGH - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team fell to Duquesne, 7-0, Sunday afternoon.

Sophomore Isis Gill-Reid and junior Maureen Devlin teamed for a 6-4 victory at the second doubles flight, but the Dukes would pick up the first point of the match with wins at the first and third flights.

Moving to singles matches, Duquesne picked up victories at all six flights despite strong efforts by the Hawks.

"Duquesne was just too strong for us today," said SJU head coach Ian Crookenden. "We had a good showing at number two doubles and some strong singles play, but overall the match up suited them, not us."

The Hawks (0-3) return to action this Saturday at Lafayette at 1 p.m.
