BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Saint Joseph’s men’s cross country team took 11th at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday afternoon with a total time of 2:38:26 and 301 points. Hosted by Lehigh University on the course of the Goodman Campus, the 10k race saw 179 runners from 26 teams compete. Villanova won the meet with 34 points.

Senior Aaron Leskow led all Hawks with a 31st-place finish in 30:58, missing All-Region honors by just 14 seconds. Leskow, who was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team this morning, was paced by a 5:00 mile. The time stands as a 10 PR by 1:11 for the captain.

The trio of senior Michael Rankin (31:47), freshman John Mascioli (31:48), and junior Logan Mohn (31:49) finished 65th, 66th, and 67th, respectively. Rankin’s time stands as a PR for the senior while Mascioli’s impressive performance was the first 10k race of his collegiate career.

Senior Tom O’Kane placed closely behind the trio in 77th in a PR 32:04.

In their first collegiate 10k races, freshman Jimmy Daniels crossed the finish line in 32:09, good for 82nd, while redshirt senior Pat Donnelly rounded out the placing for SJU with an 90th-place finish in 32:17.

The Hawks will close out the 2013 cross country season at the IC4A Championship on Saturday, November 23 at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. Start time is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
