PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's soccer team will hit the road for its final two regular-season matches of the season this weekend. The Hawks will take on George Washington at the GW Soccer Field this Friday, November 8 before heading to Fordham's Jack Coffey Field on Sunday, November 10. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

The Hawks are coming off of a 4-1 loss at Saint Louis this past Sunday. Freshman midfielder Eric Jordan scored SJU's lone goal in the 35th minute off of an assist from senior defender Brian Reynolds.

Prior to Sunday's match, the Hawks defeated #24 VCU, 1-0, on Sunday, October 27. Senior forward Ryan McFadden scored for the Hawks while sophomore midfielder Tim Lazorko dished out the assist. In their past two A-10 matches, the Hawks are averaging 3.0 points per game.

On the season, junior midfielder Jake Nelson (4G), Lazorko (2G, 3A), junior forward Alex Critzos (2G), Jordan (2G), and senior midfielder Jimmy Reilly (1G, 2A) spark the Hawks offense. Redshirt senior goalkeeper Andrew D'Ottavi sports a 1.56 goals against average and .705 saves percentage off of 62 saves anad 26 goals allowed in 1499:40.

Sunday will serve as the final regular-season match for seniors Andrew D’Ottavi, Ryan McFadden, Pat McGlynn, Michael Moulton, Sam Pozzessere, Brendan Reilly, Colin Reilly, Jimmy Reilly, Brian Reynolds, and Connor Widerman.

For the season, Tyler Ranalli (6G, 3A), and Jonny Forrest (3G, 2A) lead GW in scoring. Luke Farrell (2-2-2) has taken over the goalkeeper duties as of late, starting the past six games to sport a 0.91 goals against average and .786 saves percentage off of 22 saves and six goals allowed in 594:23. The Colonials average 1.20 goals per game off of 9.9 shots per game, and 10 of their 18 goals have come in the second half.

LAST TIME OUT AGAINST THE COLONIALS – On October 7, 2011, the Saint Joseph’s men’s soccer team fell to George Washington, 4-0, at the George Washington Soccer Field. Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Andrew D’Ottavi made five saves in a full 90:00. Freshman forward Alex Critzos landed SJU’s only shot on goal as the Hawks were outshot 19-6 (9-1 on goal). Freshman defender Tommy Brooks, freshman forward Mike Glazer, sophomore defender Brendan Reilly, and sophomore midfielder Jimmy Reilly took one shot each in the match.

For the season, Jon Agostino (2G), Andrew Hickey (2G), Blake Bohlen (1G, 1A), and Ryan Walsh (1G, 1A) lead the Rams’ offense. Goalkeeper Alex Naples (5-8-1) has seen all but 90 minutes between the pipes to own a 1.26 goals against average and .782 saves percentage in 1209:58. The Rams average 0.73 goals per game, with six of their 11 goals on the season coming in the second half. In Atlantic 10 action, Hickey and Bohlen have one goal to their name apiece.

LAST TIME OUT AGAINST THE RAMS: On October 28 of last season, the Saint Joseph’s men’s soccer team battled for 110:00 to earn a double-overtime scoreless draw with Fordham at Jack Coffey Field. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Andrew D'Ottavi made 10 saves, including seven in the first half, one on a Fordham penalty shot in the second, and two in the 101st and 107th minute of overtime. Fordham outshot Saint Joseph's 27-13 (10-2 on goal). The midfield duo of junior captain Pat McGlynn and freshman Adam Wissner recorded one shot on goal each.
