A familiar face to Hawk fans, Rob Sullivan returns to Saint Joseph’s as senior associate athletics director for external affairs after spending the past three years with Cornerstone Management. Joining the sport and entertainment agency’s basketball division in January 2017, he was responsible for recruiting, advising, sports marketing, basketball skill development, and overseeing the off-season training programs for Cornerstone Management clients. Additionally, Sullivan was an active committee member with the Pete & Jameer Nelson Foundation's College Toolkit Experience, Scholar Program, and Lead Guard Invitational.
Graduating Saint Joseph’s in 2006 with a degree in food marketing, Sullivan served as the Hawks’ director of men’s basketball operations for 10 seasons prior to joining Cornerstone Management. As director of men’s basketball operations, he oversaw various basketball and athletic administrative duties including the program’s sports marketing contract, branding, team travel, camps, community service projects, and other major events relating to the basketball program. The 2016 William Bennett Memorial Award recipient for dedication to the program, Sullivan was also heavily involved with the Philadelphia chapter of Coaches vs. Cancer.
As a student athlete, Sullivan was a member of the SJU men’s basketball team that advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2004 and finished NIT runner-up in 2005. Honored as the program’s Daniel J. Cummins, Jr. Memorial Award for spirit in 2005 and William Bennett Memorial Award in 2006, he was also a standout in the classroom earning both SJU Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll accolades.
