BRONX, N.Y. - The Saint Joseph's softball team dropped the final game of its three-game series at Fordham, 18-2, in five innings on Saturday.

After a scoreless first inning, the host Rams broke open the contest with 16 runs in the bottom of the second.

Saint Joseph's got on the board in the third as Amanda Kulp scored on a single by Sarah Ostaszewski, however Fordham added a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth to make it 18-1.

Ostaszewski picked up her second RBI of the day with a two-out single that scored Kulp in the fifth, but the Rams would get a ground out in the next at-bat to close out the game.

In the circle, Ashley Ventura moved to 11-13 on the season with the loss as she allowed six earned runs over 1.1 innings of work.

At the plate, Ostaszewski was 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Kulp was 1-for-3 with two runs scored.

The Hawks (21-19, 9-6 Atlantic 10) return to action on Wednesday at La Salle. The first game of a doubleheader is set for a 2:30 p.m. start.
