Saint Joseph's senior Isis Gill-Reid earned a victory at the second singles flight at Drexel on Thursday, but the Dragons prevailed for the overall team victory, 6-1.

Facing Ghita Benhadi at No. 2 singles, Gill-Reid jumped ahead 15-0 to start the match before it was halted as Benhadi retired due to injury.

At the top flight, sophomore Amanda Nava saw her 13-match unbeaten streak snapped at the top flight as she fell to Salma Ziouti, 6-2, 6-2.

Drexel captured the other four singles matches and took the doubles point despite Laura Gomez and Katherine Devlin at the third doubles flight going unfinished at 5-5.

"The ladies fought hard and our doubles is starting to improve," said SJU head coach Ian Crookenden. "Amanda was flat today, but with rest will bounce back from her first loss of the spring. We are looking forward to Alumni Day Saturday and facing Fordham."

The Hawks (1-13) host the Rams at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
