WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Saint Joseph's golf team is tied for 13th place after Sunday's opening round of the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate.

Playing on the Gold Course of the par-71 Golden Horseshoe Golf Club (6,817 yards), the Hawks posted a score of 309 and are tied with Old Dominion for 13th place in the 21-team field.

Individually, Ross Pilliod is tied for 16th after shooting 74, while Michael O'Brien posted a score of 77 and is tied for 44th. J.T. Spina and Tommy Lewis both carded rounds of 79 and are tied for 59th, while Wills Montgomery is tied for 79th as he rounded out the five-man squad with a score of 82.

Campbell holds the team lead by a stroke at 294, while Drake's Tommi Avant and William & Mary's Matthew Feinstein are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 68.

The second round begins Monday morning.
