ORLANDO, Fla. - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team capped its play at the USTA National Campus with a 5-2 loss to Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday.

Sophomore Amanda Nava and freshman Paige Conrad each picked up a singles victory, while Nava and senior Isis Gill-Reid teamed for a win at top doubles on the day for the Hawks.

Opening with doubles matches, Saint Joseph's Nava and Gill-Reid earned a 6-4 win at the top flight, but Fairleigh Dickinson earned victories at the other two flights to earn the first point.

Playing at No. 1 singles, Nava extended her win streak to 10 matches as she downed Marta Ruszczynska, 6-1, 6-1. Conrad picked up the Hawks' second point with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Anamaria Vladescu at the fourth flight.

Fairleigh Dickinson would prevail in the other four singles matches to claim the team victory.

"A solid ending to spring break with Isis and Laura back in the lineup as we looked to be a better balanced team and the competitive result showed it," said SJU head coach Ian Crookenden. "Great performance from Paige, who enjoyed being back in her home state. Amanda continues to play high quality tennis consistently and is the leader on the court by her dedication and example. Looking forward to returning to campus and getting on with the spring schedule."

The Hawks (1-9) return to action on Wednesday when they host Delaware at 2:30 p.m.
