FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason closed out the game on a 19-6 run to top Saint Joseph's, 68-59, in the Hawks' final road game of the regular season Wednesday afternoon at EagleBank Arena, in a battle for seventh place in the Atlantic 10.

In a tight game from the tip, the Hawks opened a 53-49 lead on a three-pointer by Kristalyn Baisden with 6:31 to go.

The Patriots answered and soon took control of the game. Behind a 10-0 run, George Mason pushed ahead, 59-53, on a layup by Camarie Gatling with 2:20 left.

Saint Joseph's senior Alyssa Monaghan answered with a three-pointer to bring her team within three, 59-56, but that would be as close the Hawks would get as they moved to 7-8 in the Atlantic 10 and 11-17 on the season.

Individually, Monaghan led all scorers with 18 points, while redshirt freshman Katie Jekot added 13 points. Baisden was the third Hawk in double figures, scoring 10 points, while rookie Katie Mayock grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds and scored six points.

The Hawks cap the regular season at home this Saturday when they host Fordham at noon, followed by a postgame ceremony honoring Saint Joseph's senior class.
