Xaviar Dantzler was appointed athletics equipment manager at Saint Joseph’s in the Fall of 2018.
Dantzler has worked at SJU since 2013, starting out as an Athletics Center desk attendant and security officer and working his way up to weekend building supervisor’s position.
Prior to joining the Saint Joseph’s staff, Dantzler served in various supervisory and customer service roles over the years with the Pathmark corporation and Mellon Financial Company.
He also spent 15 years at the Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital where he worked in three different offices during his time there – food and nutrition; cafeteria and dining services; and special functions and conference services. In all three areas, Dantzler progressed to manager or supervisor roles.
Danztler, from Philadelphia, will be responsible for procuring and maintaining all apparel and equipment for the Hawks’ 20 varsity sports, while working with vendors and managing the apparel contracts. He will implement the operating policies for the equipment room and serve as a game manager at SJU’s intercollegiate athletics events.
